Where Venusian Astrology Came From
 After studying Astrology for a few years I realised that I would have to consider the best use for this unfathomably accurate tool. Astrology had been an instrument of politics, and had often been misinterpreted as a tool that might separate people rather than bring us together. Astrology's use is bound in the knowledge of the time. In our 21st Century we have come much further in our ability to find probable reasons for previously misunderstood phenomena. There remains, however, the need for new systems to enable our use of some of our latest findings. And along came Venusian Astrology. Any system is only as good as its underlying focus of intention.     Preliminary readings towards Venusian Astrology.


Biologically we humans have a consciousness that is inseparable from our perception and our nervous system. Scholars have shown that we are very able and willing to believe lies, in fact we would choose a lie over a truth when it means a truth might unbalance our equilibrium.

We accept information according to how new information 'fits' with what is there already in our neural pathway. If this information is not in the correct language, or if it renders a foundational belief of ours obsolete, our perceptual mechanisms will usually deny its existence long before we are consciously aware we have come across this information.

In educational establishments we accept a fundamental premise that we are going to learn new things. In accepting this premise we will more often than not allow new ideas into our consciousness and entertain them, according to the authority of the educational establishment. Because an authority figure assures us that the 'cognitive dissonance' we are feeling (confusion) as we learn new things is temporary and expected in the learning process. We know that millions of others go through this experience every day so we know we will get through it too, and our fears dissipate, unless we attempt to set precedents that most people don't.

Having such an Order - an Education System - is a fantastic opportunity for us, as long as what is being taught is helpful and extends our consciousness. Unfortunately a massive amount of education limits and tightly constructs our neural pathways, embedding premises that do not serve us, but rather serve a particular Order of a particular Society. Even if learning is implicit in its premises, we are not - during this process - in control of how we reconstruct our neural pathway ourselves. We do all we can just to get through the process. For many, a certificate can come at the end even if little change or growth has occurred.

If we go to a lively university with postmodern attitudes we may be lucky enough to find the encouragement and support of the group to encounter and work through the cognitive dissonance of learning new things that are foreign to our current way of seeing our world. An Educational system unafraid to ask questions of every subject and support fresh minds with new questions breeds healthy happy humans. Every university education worldwide adheres to some form of censorship, whether this is carried out in the selection of discourses chosen for modules, or more aggressive censorship based on conservative or fundamental dogma from political or religious ideological premises.

Education systems don't own information, they collate and distribute it. The internet today offers unparralleled opportunities for proactive education - educating each other as well as locating books and documents from around the world.

Every one of us has limited consciousness neural pathways. Every one of us knows some things in some ways. Many groups of generations will know similar things in similar ways. In order to communicate with each other across our individually limited consciousness, we human beings have to (1) find ways to open up our neural pathways according to our own individual authority (rather than the sanctioned authority of God or State) to be able to understand another's point of view; or (2) we have to find premises of equality and value for each and every human being and somehow condition ourselves and our children to base this premise (or core value) at the very base of our neural pathway. In doing so, we will be able to perceive more, (let more in), than we previously could biologically.

Our basic survival depends upon our ability to expand our consciousness to deal with more information at a greater rate without going insane through extreme cognitive dissonance. Everyone has heard of information overload but that's just the part that registers without necessarily expanding our awareness. The internet provides us with a technology where many more people have access to each other and to information outside the censorship or conditioning of their particular society. Hopefully, this will continue despite various agencies believing they have a right to manipulate the information highway. Conditioning is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact in an Order versus Chaos theory it has proved itself a hugely efficient method for forming cohesive societies. There are conditioned taboos in every society on the planet. Symbolic rituals find materialistic and pragmatic reasons historically. However, the kinds of conditioning employed, now that our globe has got smaller, are not working. We are killing each other and our planet.

Finding a way to manipulate our own consciousness, that is, finding a way to realise our own Free Will, requires us to observe ourselves. However, unlike Buddhist concepts of upon reaching a level where we may view our realities as temporal, or only real according to us and concluding therefore that the body and earth are easily negated, in this case we are moving a step further and seeking to expand our consciousness in order to make our Earth a better place, not to negate its worth just because we have realised that Reality is perceptual and subjective. Just because we create our reality from the inside does not mean that an objective reality does not exist, or that there is not something beyond, or partner to, subjectivity when it comes to the nature of Reality. At the very least if I create my reality and you create yours, what has yours to do with me and why is the 'group' so important to each of us? We naturally seek an Order. Order, Saturn's domain, is part of our human experience. We naturally gravitate to towards an Order. History is strewn with the most ardent revolutionaries scurrying after their conquest to create Order.

And it is here that Venusian Astrology (and other schools of astrology too) offers enormous opportunity. Astrologically, we can know a larger model, wherein many more things can fit. Order and Chaos can be grasped and understood through the discourse of Saturn and Uranus, enabling if you like similar mind-tools of euphamisms that cushion the otherwise fatal blow of stark reality long enough for us to learn something.

Venusian Astrology is directly related to responding to (2) above. If we truly believed in the value of our lives, in essence, none of us could kill another human being. Instead we look at others and see something different to what it means to us to be 'human' and in making the other not-human we can kill. When I first learned Astrology I was drawn to a very Venusian question: What is the value of human beings? Many of the answers I got were based on religion or family, none of which are universal, all of which see some people as human and others as not-human. Even Christianity projects 'Anti-Christ' onto fellow human beings. We are all guilty of invalidating others for our own particular cause. With there being so many causes these days it is difficult to see how we might ever get along. Oh yes - through conditioning and maintaining a sleep-walk state of 'being human', a kind of 'Clayton's life' not really free but telling ourselves we are.

Whether it is because of our lazy consciousness that esoteric practices and beliefs had to be assigned 'faith' and 'obedience', or whether we have to integrate these areas in other parts of ourselves remains to be seen. However, without a consciousness expansion we will not be able to know ourselves to know this in any case and will therefore continue to be at the mercy of fallacious interpretations of experiences by Messiahs, Saints, Politicians and Advertisers.
