Where Venusian Astrology Came From
After studying Astrology for a few years I realised that I would have to consider the best use for this unfathomably accurate tool. Astrology had been an instrument of politics, and had often been misinterpreted as a tool that might separate people rather than bring us together. Astrology's use is bound in the knowledge of the time. In our 21st Century we have come much further in our ability to find probable reasons for previously misunderstood phenomena. There remains, however, the need for new systems to enable our use of some of our latest findings. And along came Venusian Astrology. Any system is only as good as its underlying focus of intention. So, to set the record straight, please read these articles prior to working through the course made available here on using Venusian Astrology.

    Preliminary readings into Venusian Astrology

    "Ask and you shall receive"
    A note about definition:

    Firstly, whether there is indeed a sub-conscious as such is debated by many. However, the word here is used to imply that which is not at present fully resonated with by us. It may merely be another part of our conscious. Current studies reveal multiple pathways of consciousness or groups of consciousness internally. These studies continue.

   This article commences:

The subconscious is programmed by the conscious neural pathway to create the intended reality. If the conscious mind is conditioned (from childhood for example) to believe that "all cars are black" the subconscious mind will reinforce this belief by allowing only black cars into the perception of the person with this belief.

This person then goes to an NLP (Neuro-linguistic-programming) class and the teacher suggests that he has a block here and shows him how he might use his modalities to attract 'Red' cars. For this to eventuate the fundamental conscious neural pathway that absolutely says that only black cars exist must be deconstructed (in postmodern speak) or extended to read only black and red cars exist. If other neural pathways sprang from this belief these might also be affected. Consider those people getting out of red cars who were not previously acknowledged by this person who only met those alighting from black cars. This is a silly example but serves as an illustration of how a limited conscious belief, or program, given to your subconscious can be changed to dramatically impact upon much more of your world than you would consciously expect. That is, in including red cars you might be forgiven for thinking that only the subject 'cars' is affected by your desire.

For many people, their choice of what to program is limited by their conditioned consciousness. Indeed most attendees at NLP courses are seeking ways to make more money within an acceptable system utilised by society. What they get (when they now see red cars) is often much more than they expected, or in some cases are able to handle. What they get is usually a "wake up" call to expand their consciousness.

This also goes for novice Magicians, whose intention and corresponding manipulation of the subconscious, or astral realm where all things are formed, also result in things that do not seem connected with the spell they cast.

NLP and Magick share some things in common. You always get what you want so if it doesn't seem like you did then you need to go back and read/check what it was exactly that you asked for. So many find that they worded things differently to what they should have and actually did get what they asked for but that was not what they were seeking. Others, if they are honest, will see that the changes that seem to have nothing to do with what they asked for are obvious effects from the new ‘cause’ (i.e. red cars now exist) they initiated.

In Magick students are taught the term 'sacrifice' and what this means. Using the example above, the sacrifice is all things pertaining to living in a world where only black cars exist, in order to receive a world where black and red cars exist. If we asked for a world where only red cars existed then we would have to sacrifice all black cars because they no longer exist. In this case we would also sacrifice all the people we knew who drove black cars, or sacrifice ever hearing discussions about their black cars, etc. Although symbolic sacrifice or actual sacrifices are found historically it does not seem possible that merely by choosing something to sacrifice you will avoid the sacrifices pertaining to the possibility of bringing about the new situation/desire. Where the ramifications of our intentions are not known by us we might attribute the new unknown circumstances to God or random chance.

In positive thinking schools, including NLP courses, students are usually told to cover all areas of their lives with specific requests to avoid adverse reactions from one area's desire to another. For example: a desire for endless money might manifest as a job offer where you have to work away for so much money you cannot refuse, but you never get to see your family. Alternatively, a desire for money and family time might result in a great job near home, or even a position you can work from home. But if you forget to include a health desire component the job might be bad for your health! etc. etc.

There are so many mess ups that over the years magicians have gone balmy or been considered 'black' or 'white' and people either break down, break through or walk away from even trying to be the masters of their worlds. The latter is senseless since, as discussed in other areas on this site, some people will condition you if you do not take up the gauntlet to be aware of your own conditioning – or programming. Magicians and other serious students of spirituality and communication have learned long ago that it is useless to trek around the astral in this fashion and that a search for the higher meaning of all of this is necessary. The ancient Greeks sought the essence of things, the causes, or primary premises upon which argument or reason develops.

The Will of the Magician needs to be recognised, so that all desires are in tune with the 'Great Work' or purpose of the individual on this path. The basic premise is that each one of us has a potential or a place in line with our True Will. Shakespeare's "To Thine own self be true and so it follows thou cannot be untrue to any other man" echoes this journey. This is a noble path and one that requires an expanded consciousness because, unlike most religions, the goal is to contribute to the lives of everyone by finding and fulfilling the task assigned to you personally. The Will of the Magician is not the same as the person who attends an NLP class to get a red car, although often it may start this way. The Will of the Magician is not against God, in fact Satanists are usually those caught up in their own subconscious childhood projections and therefore have nothing to do with this path, unless this is a stepping stone for them to enter it through understanding that Satan is an apparition of their repressed emotions - a creation of the church and non-existent before this.

So we have this really powerful subconscious that, although we can program it, it overwhelms us with the way it follows orders so that the karmic effects of our cause desires account for more than we anticipated. And it carries on creating from our neural pathway those implants and programs it attracts or repulses. Once you know red cars exist experientially it is difficult to pretend they do not. Repressions will always be projected for you to see. If you deny the existence of red cars afterwards you will surely meet many people who believe in red cars existing.

So if we expand our consciousness and begin to know how our realities are being created even though we can't precisely connect the cause and effect programs in place then we can begin to understand the workings of the subconscious, or astral realm where things form. As we start to notice the programs in our education system, on our television screens, in our newspapers, contextually in our society based on what issues and past-times are highlighted and which ones are absent we will start to notice how our subconscious works with these recipes and delivers our 'realities'.

Postmodernism says that everything is subjective and without the subject person there would be no reality. Heraclitus (a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher) said that "All is change" and that a logos similar to the Magician's Aether or Asian Chi shifts things around to form and reform endlessly. If we consider physics at this point we are perceiving an interesting moving universe full of possibilities and, in this case, limited only by the programming decided as the 'cause' of the 'effect'. This is Karma. In understanding cause and effect we understand Karma. The Buddhists believe that although you cannot prevent Karma you can choose not to react to the effect thereby dissipating it rather than building another cycle of cause and effect upon it. In this way you are not subject to the dual karmic flux as the Magician refers to it.

So how do we approach our subconscious? What are our options?

For many new age consultants and teachers or older practicing spiritualists and religious leaders it seems that just 'seeing' this realm means that it is useful. Unfortunately, spiritual seers and mediums can be caught in their own very limited consciousness, programmed by a conditioned reasoning that goes nowhere and helps few. However, their ability 'see', unless it is entirely from their own projections, can be very useful to many of us as we grapple with our own growth.

To expand One’s consciousness may seem here to be an intellectual path of enormous magnitude and troublesome reasoning but if we look at some recent 'intuitive studies' that look at how we learn and get from theory to 'knowing' we can console ourselves and include all of us who may not have the penchant for academic procedures in order to know ourselves and our world. Whatever your mode of question and response there is a part of you that chooses to choose or chooses to be chosen for and either way your subconscious will take on the task of making these choices reality for you.
