Where Venusian Astrology Came From
 After studying Astrology for a few years I realised that I would have to consider the best use for this unfathomably accurate tool. Astrology had been an instrument of politics, and had often been misinterpreted as a tool that might separate people rather than bring us together. Astrology's use is bound in the knowledge of the time. In our 21st Century we have come much further in our ability to find probable reasons for previously misunderstood phenomena. There remains, however, the need for new systems to enable our use of some of our latest findings. And along came Venusian Astrology. Any system is only as good as its underlying focus of intention. At the turn of the century, Freud and Flournoy and other 'Fathers of Psychology' were attending seances in France, trying to fathom our minds and our universe. Anthropologists everywhere have continued the journey, cross fertilising psychology, politics, religion, economics and literature in perhaps the most wholistic and promising discipline we have today. More recently Neurobiologists and Scientists of the Mind have made their work more accessible for all us. Of course Magicians everywhere have dedicated their lives to experiential and studious research into the nature of reality Many of the authors listed below continue to update their findings in this progressive work, so please remember to seek out their latest offerings. Any or all of the following will be of interest to everyone interested in looking at Astrology, Venusian Style, in this 21st Century.

You don’t have to have a huge marketing budget to change the world. The next time you experience something you don't understand just 'make a conscious decision to put this on hold', pending access to the information that will enable you to understand it. Working through the Venusian Astrology course will reveal to you that even though we all share every planet, sign and house, we do not experience them all at the same time in the same ways. Not everything has to be known before it is experienced. This is the limited cognitive way. The way to freedom is cognitively allowing room for growth by not reacting to the experience with fear and trepidation but knowing there is an answer and simply asking a question you didn't have to ask before. And there are plenty of people on this planet who will have at least some of the answers for you. Sometimes we don't know where the answers might come from. Ask the question then wait for the answers. A read of Florence Schovell-Shin will help reveal the amazing fact that things really do appear in our lives we could never have imagined planning for ourselves. For the good of all and harm to none. Venus will be everything she wants to be - and so will you and I.

Anthropology

Claude Levi-Strauss was hailed as the most intelligent man on the planet. The 'Father of Structuralism', he searched for and revealed that there is a structure to the nature of reality, and the nature of what it means to be a human being. If Venusian Astrology can be said to be in accordance with any theoretical model it would choose Structuralism first, with an incorporated Postmodern insight.

The basic tenet of Postmodernism is anti-positivist and deems that without the seer there is no existence.

Anthropologists today work across disciplines and their unique technique of 'participant observation' continues to make this discipline worth watching in our 21st Century. A trip to the Anthropology Department of any university library can only expand the awareness of each of us.

The Kabbala finds its roots here and much Greek philosophy reveals a congruence with this model of our Universe (esp. Plato). For Magicians, Chaldea, (a Christian population today in Iraq) was the home of important Magi historically.
Magick In Theory and Practice, Aleister Crowley, Castle Books 1991. Reprint of original work printed at turn of the century, Paris. Crowley was attending Cambridge University when he experimented and put together his work on correspondences. Although his work has been considered "Satanic" by those for whom Magick is frightening, his system of correspondences (777) has contributed much to the ongoing work of Magicians.

Myss is an extremely popular author, healer and speaker who works with the medical establishment by contributing her metaphysical diagnoses so that the emotional and spiritual levels of health are included in the healing process. This particular book describes the basics of her healing paradigm.
Miracle in the Void, Brian O'Leary, Kamapua's Press Hawaii 1996. Although Brian O'Leary is an Astro-Physicist, this book has been placed in this section because it wholistically considers our human condition in the grieving process as we wake up from ignorance to realise we are creative human beings, able to manipulate energy.
Care of the Soul : A Guide for Cultivating Depth and Sacredness in Everyday Life, Thomas Moore, Perennial; Reprint edition (January 26, 1994). Thomas Moore is a prolific writer on the Soul's need for experiences and beautifully expresses life's events from this perspective.
Culpepper's Complete Herbal & English Physician by Nicholas Culpepper. So much of what we know today found its roots in Astrology. This is a classic, which includes the astrological discourse. Anyone interested in Astrology of Health, or experimental correspondences will also be interested in this.

Physics

The web hosts several basic physics sites where non-physicists can get a taste for the subject and a good introduction to some basic tenets of this discipline. It is impossible to appreciate astrology, or the enormous value of human beings ourselves, without some perspective on the physical properties of our universe. Today, physics does not shy away from what was previously the domain of occultists. Neuro-linguistic Programming
Neuro-linguistic programming has been popular in the UK for several years. It is just beginning to find its place in Australia. Although borrowing from Behavioural and Cognitive psychology, it more comprehensively and proactively seeks to incorporate the 'whole' human experience of body/mind/spirit/soul and has therefore been given its own category. In doing so it is not very different to Magick.

As well as drawing upon the work of Bandler and Griner, Anthony Robbins is a proponent of the use of the physical and places high importance on diet and posture. His work extends to breathing and mind-reading techniques, as well as regression, visualisation and the necessity of supporting and encouraging each other through growth. These are just two of his many books well worth the read. I was skeptical about Robbins because of the 'hype' that surrounds him. However, I have to say that I'm a fan.
